Meanwhile Interior Uses

There is no data to suggest that the heritage buildings are in a usable condition, The exterior is fenced off and facades have been placed over the windows and their frames suggesting that the buildings are in an unsafe state of deterioration. It would be financially unfeasible to renovate the buildings for meanwhile uses.

As there is no evidence of floor plans for either building, it would be difficult to accurately state possible uses. However, it is safe to assume the Central Buffet building has the capacity to hold pop-up restaurants. With such a diverse community, culture-themed food nights could be held as well as providing the necessary skills and experience to manage a restaurant on the site.

Meanwhile Exterior Uses

The open space in front of the heritage buildings with the supporting green space around the buildings and through the centre of the development provides an opportunity for exterior use. This will could come in the form of local and crafts markets, with pop-up stalls stored in the community centre. If successful, this will encourage more events of a similar kind.
